 I don't think any of the colleges on my list that use the common college application essays ask for a personal statement.

With pleasure. But might I suggest in future you use the [Report] button. If I receive a report I will normally deal with it within hours. Otherwise it has to wait until I next visit the site and even then depends on IF I read the post.
